This full four-wheel air suspension conversion kit for the VW T5/T6 Transporter fits all vehicles from 2003 to the present day. The price quoted is for the T26, T28 & T30. There is a £225 surcharge for the T32 struts.
The kit is a simple bolt-on conversion, and can be reversed later if you trade your vehicle in (or lease it) and wish to install your kit on a newer van later. Only the highest-quality components are used throughout, and are chosen for reliability over any other factor.
The basic non-management kit is just the front strut and rear bag kit without any compressor, controller or management. However, various management options are available and the most popular is the 3P computer controller pack. Other options include a manual controller, solenoids, and 3H. Twin tanks and twin compressors are also available as additional options. Choose your preferred management option from the drop-down menu below (see ‘Options’ tab for more info)..
This is an AirRide Custom air suspension kit. We manufacture these kits ourselves, based on several decades specialising in air suspension systems (and 18 years making T5/T6 kits). We absolutely believe that this is the best-quality air suspension kit on the market (we wouldn’t make it any other way!) Our kit:
Is a practical bolt-on installation which is rated as DIY or local garage fit
Improves stability and handling and reduces roll

CNC Machined upper mounts for the front, which fit directly with the original equipment manufacturer’s top mount plate
Precision CNC-machined rear brackets
Properly-secured brackets that won’t slip out of place, fracture or come adrift
Proper automotive grade air springs (air bags). Bags have at least 6 inches of lift potential
Specifically-designed brackets, mounted at points able to take the load – in the same place as the original spring
Also available with triple convoluted high lift bags if needed
A two-year warranty (terms apply)

Which Kit Do I Need?
Some air suspension kits offer better ride quality, while others allow your Transporter to drop extra low. To settle on your perfect kit, you need to decide on the compromise you want between each – either amazing ride quality, really low drop or a balance between the two.
If you’re mainly looking for a low stance
AirRide Custom Plus – This kit has shorter struts and lower volume bags to offer more drop at the front and rear. Ths makes it much easier to give your Transporter a street-skimming stance, while the bags are still big enough to offer good ride quality; Custom Plus is a great compromise between the two.
Best used on stanced vehicles and lightweight vans.
AirRide Gold- Gold bags allow for lots of adjustment. This means you can ride your T5/T6 very low but at the price of the ride quality, which is similar to decent coil-overs at adecent height (i.e. not as good as original suspension). However, the Gold kit is much more refined than coil-overs and won’t leave you with any crashing or banging.
AirRide Ultimate – This is the best Transporter kit on the market. It uses huge, reversible sleeve bags made by Dunlop for front struts and on the rear. The bags are not only incredibly reliable but offer the best ride quality your T5 or T6 can achieve, with up to twice the air volume of any other bag. Built on genuine VW cores, the kit is designed for comfort and durability, rather than extreme drop. Note: this kit does not include rear shock absorbers.
Great for load support on heavy vehicles such as heavy-duty motorhomes, vans, wheelchair access vehicles and campers.
AirRide Custom – Uses 7-inch bags at the front and 7-inch bags at the rear. The rear suspension will drop the tyres inside your Transporters arches. The front struts are OEM struts for maximum comfort. This kit is focused on offering a great ride for your T5/T6 and is best driven at practical heights. It is a good option for motorhomes. Use this if your budget won’t stretch to AirRide Ultimate. Note: This kit does not include rear shock absorbers.
Best used on medium-duty campers, vans, minibuses.
Ta Technix – A good option if you are on a budget. This German-made kit is high quality and durable. It rides and drops well, albeit not to extreme levels. A nice entry level kit for practical everyday use.
Air Lift- Air Lift Performance, renowned globally for giving cars a street-skimming stance, are now determined to give your T5 or T6 the same treatment. Sizes of the bags are 5.5 inch on the rear and 7 inches on the front.

Options
Car kits can be supplied with or without On Board Air (OBA) kits. This enables users to get the very best out of the kits at all times. It allows ride characteristics to be adjusted for road, weather and load conditions and for those experiencing grounding conditions it allows the absolute maximum lift to be achieved when needed (Ferries, Petrol stations and rough site entrances). OBA packages come in various specifications as outlined below. If in doubt please contact us via email or phone.
Budget Duty OBA
Includes a 10% duty cycle compressor, maximum 105 PSI. Onboard Air Hookup Kit to match the compressor which comes with and on/off button to get to pressure. A cross locking mini valve. Please note that although the left and right are independent, they can not be set to different pressures. Does not include a tank. Used for infrequent adjustment. This is an entry level minimalistic control package.
Economy Duty OBA – (BEST BUY)
Includes a 15% duty cycle compressor, maximum 130 PSI, 1.0 gallon steel tank, Twin Paddle/Gauge controller, Onboard Air Hookup kit to match the compressor. Please note: The left and right are independent and can be set to different pressures. Highly recommended best value for money. Slightly higher specification than the entry level kit.
Standard Duty OBA
Includes a 33% duty cycle compressor, maximum 150 PSI, medium tank, Twin Paddle/Gauge controller, Onboard Air Hookup kit to match the compressor. Please note: The left and right are independent and can be set to different pressures. Used for regular adjustment.
Premium Duty OBA
Includes a 100% duty cycle compressor, maximum 200 PSI, medium tank, Twin Paddle/Gauge controller. Used for daily adjustment. Top General spec.
Ultimate OBA
Includes a 100% duty cycle compressor, maximum 200 PSI, medium tank. Used for daily adjustment. Top spec, includes computer controller with presets and standard height adjustment for general running but can be overridden when conditions require.
Warranty
Airide Limited offers a warranty on AirRide Custom products for a period of one year from the time of purchase. This warranty is limited to the original purchaser.
If the kit does not appear to fit – stop and call us, as a vehicle misidentification may have occurred. Kits will be accepted for return and exchange only if they are undamaged. The buyer must cover the return postage fee.
