This double skinned air bag from Universal Air Suspension was revolutionary when we started using it well over a decade ago in around 2006. Universal Air Suspension invented the AeroSport double skinned air suspension air spring so users could install air on any car, or alternatively could build custom or classic vehicles the way they wanted them. It uses a high tech inner design and simply slips over most struts. Users don't necessarily need to even wled the plates although we usually do to stop them moving. Available from the AirRide shop these are always in stock.
This bag has a 6 inch diameter, 6 inch lift range and can fit any shock or damper up to 54mm. It is suited to vehicles up to a weight of around 1500 Kg, and although it can be used on heavier vehicles needs a lot of pressure to lift, which can compromise the ride. This is simple to install for most, and a very cost effective solution on a great many vehicles for those wanting to build their own air suspension.
These bags have been used by us up to 200 psi, and by several other customers up to 240 psi and were totally reliable. This is not advised and voids the warranty, but it shows the quality of the bag. Rated at 110 psi maximum.
