AirRide Gold for MINI

We’re now doing AirRide Gold kits for MINIs!

DID YOU KNOW that a MINI won Rally Finland, the fastest race in the World Rally Championship, three years running between 1965 and 1967? 

In fact, in 1967, driver Timo Mäkinen won the race with his MINI by eight seconds, despite the bonnet being open for part of the race!

We are proud to introduce our brand new product range: the AirRide Gold Series. Gold has generated some serious buzz since we announced it on Saturday and we are excited to finally be able to reveal all. So, without further ado: AirRide Gold is a new range of air suspension conversion kits designed to give you the very best air has to offer. The kits are 100% bolt-on, provide staggering levels of drop (and lift) and terrific handling and ride quality. This is as good as air ride gets – and we have four main reasons why:

  1. Tailored for you. Gold kits are made specifically for your car. We have hundreds of AirRide Gold kits ready to go on our website, and each kit is tailored for a particular car model. There’s no one-size-fits-all policy here.
  2. Easy to fit. The kits are 100% bolt-on, which means the majority should fit straight on to your vehicle. Any local garage should be able to fit AirRide Gold but it’s so simple you might even be able to fit it yourself!
  3. Everything you need. With Gold, you get a full air suspension kit – everything you need to be using air straight away. You can also choose to install a computer that means you can control your air from the driver’s seat and with a phone app – the app can be used to alter the height of your vehicle from both inside and outside the car and has lots of other cool features.
  4. Incredible drop and ride. And of course, you also get great handling, a super-smooth ride and incredible levels of drop. The average Gold kit offers around five inches of drop, but this does differ from vehicle to vehicle.

Bike Week UK: Air for motorbikes

Air suspension is often associated with motorhomes and caravans, so we’re frequently asked if there’s any benefit to installing it to a much smaller vehicle such as a motorbike.

The answer is YES! – air ride is a great way to customise your bike, both in terms of style and practicality (in fact a lot of Harley-Davidson bikes – such as the Road King below – now have it as standard).

Other than the obvious – it just looks cooler – lowering your bike means handling and stability is naturally improved, meaning air suspension is ideal for negotiating those sharp corners and narrow gaps in the road.

But it also offers a better, smoother ride when the bike is raised, as you can alter the suspension to make it more suitable for the road conditions.

And, if you ever want to show off just how smooth that ride is to a mate (or future girlfriend/boyfriend – we hear nothing guarantees a date better than quality air suspension) then you can! Kits are available that prevent sag when you’re riding with a passenger and then readjust when you’re on your own again.

That adjustment can come at the touch of a button as well, so you can alter the ride height on the move.

Lastly, but most importantly, air suspension is safe too. When stationary you’ll be able to lower to a height where you can rest your feet flat on the ground. You can also customise your air suspension to mean the bike rests on the frame when not being used, meaning it doesn’t need a stand!
