350Z Air Suspension Kit

We are pleased to announce a dedicated fit bolt on air suspension conversion for the Nissan 350z. This superb kit requires 4 holes to be drilled on each side at the rear , and 4 on each side at the front. Other than that all fitting work is with normal spanners, and sockets and no fabrication is required (unlike US import kits).

Using Quality Quantum sport bags the handling remains great, Ride is very good (especially on low profile rims), and the car can be lifted to clear speed ramps or steep drives.

Mercedes Sprinter & VW Crafter rear air kit

This superb and easy to fit kit for the Mercedes and VW improves the manners of these vehicles, as well as providing additional support for the load or conversion. With prices from just £595 they are excellent value. They fit both Vans and Minibuses, and improves handling and ride.
We offer many similar air suspension kits, which are simple to fit with standard tools and little knowledge of air suspension. We also offer universal leaf spring kits for applications not covered by the ready made range.

Classic Beetle Air

We now have in stock front air suspension units for classic beetles. The core unit can be used with our onboard compressors, or set and left with remote inflation.

Lower cost Classic Mini air suspension under development.

I am pleased to say that we are in final testing of a new design of higher spec, lower cost, and lower weight air suspension for the Classic Mini.

The Mini is crying out for air – the bouncy ride of the rather crude rubber cones on the original unmodified cars, can be improved by fitting coil spring conversions, but only at the expense of ride quality. Air gives the great handling of the coil spring set-up, a smooth ride that Mini owners have always dreamt of, and oh – it can be adjusted in a few seconds!

No need to get your hand dirty, under the car adjusting your adjustrides – just press the dash mounted switch and you have any setting you want.

The new design will be pictured on here soon, and features a lighter smaller install with the same great quality of ride that only air can achieve.

Dimension chart added

I often get calls asking for bags of varying sizes, and when I am doing an install I have my own reference chart that I use to decide the best bag for the application.

I have added that chart onto the site, so if you are doing a unique install it is easy to see the best bag for your purpose.

Motorhome and Van Air Suspension

We are starting to get a number of enquiries for Motorhome suspension – whilst there really is no reason that we cannot supply, and or fit these kits it is not our core business.

We mainly do air for modified cars, and for a limited range of vans. We can supply air suspension for van derived Motor Homes including Citroen, Fiat, Ford, Hyandai, Iveco, Mazda, Mercedes, Mitsubishi, Nissan, Opel Peugeot, Toyota, and Volkwagen.

Van (and van derived Motor Home) air suspension kits tend to vary between £500 and £600 for the basic bag and bracket kit, for the rear. Vans and MotorHomes rarely need the front doing, and don’t always use on-board air supply that most of our other vehicles use, although both are available as extra cost options (from £600). Fitting costs vary depending upon vehicle and spec. required. Please ask for a quote.

We can supply and/or install air suspension for any Car, Van, Motorhome or SUV, and some custom motorcycles.

VW T5 Information Updated

We have now updated the VW T5 Air suspension kit information, with pictures and up to date prices.

This kit offers superb lift at the rear to cope with any load, and can be dropped for easy loading or really cool looks. The rear of this kit is by far the most effective, and most popular.

Prices Stabilise

Following my post of 1st November regarding the deteriorating price of the Pound against both the Dollar and Euro these have for the moment stabilised, although they show no sign of returning to original levels.

This does mean that its a little easier to deal with, although clearly prices are well up on those charged about 12 months ago despite a slimmer margin.

Prices for all products and installs are still being held for short periods only and subject to change should the exchange rates change rapidly once more.

I suppose that we had become used to the stability in the markets which had seen very little change in many years against either the Euro of US Dollar. Many companies will no longer be able to hold prices for long, and will have to keep a watchful eye on the rates.

Because of this the prices on the site will be very limited. If you have a specific requiremnt then please contact us and we will do our best to give you the very latest prices at the time of your call or email, or for a guide accuarate at start of February 2009 please click here.

Classic Mini Air kit available shortly

After 12 months development, and testing (including lots of road miles) our new Classic Mini air suspension kit is almost ready to be launched.

Price Increases

Like most air suspension specialists we import many of the parts we sell. Most of these transactions are conducted in USD, and Euro. The United Stated Dollar was worth over £2 last year. It now only worth less than £1.40.

When you add into the equasion 23% import duty/vat and further tax on the freight charges (even though they are paid in USD to a US company!!!) plus the increases in prices from the suppliers then the net result is that the cost to us of the parts we buy has increased 34.4%!!!

Since that is more than our profit margin it has forced us to increase prices in line with the increased costs.

Please phone for the most up to date prices, which are currently being quoted on an individual customer by customer basis, and held suject to exchange rate fluctuations.

New VW T5 Van Kit

After a considerable amount of development we are ready to launch a VW T5 air suspension kit.

Because this is a van, there is likely to be more call for just the rear suspension, and although we can convert all four wheels, we will be offering modular kits, with various air suplies and controllers so you can have as little or as much as you require.

Chrysler PT Cruiser Kit

We are pleased to anouncce our new PT Cruiser air suspension kit. Using the latest technology in air bags this kit uses Quantum airbags on the front for a superb ride and superb handling.

Our test vehicle drove and handled far better than before the air. These new kits are such a step forward that air now offers suspension with almost as good handling as a “coil spring conversion”, combined with the comfort and ride of the original suspension, and the core ability that first attracts everyone to air, and thats the ability to lift the car at the touch of a button.

Welcome All.

Welcome to the www.airride.co.uk new mini site.

Following the huge success of our air suspension systems we have at last found time to update the site. I hope to add information as I can and hopefully answer some of the many questions people ask of me.

Air suspension is very specialised, in a similar way that Lambo Doors are, and we are seeing the same pattern of people “giving it a go” – some with not such good results!!!

My advice when choosing someone to install an air sustem for you is the same as with Lambos or a Bodykit – ask to see one they have done – if they cannot show you, walk away – it could save you thousands.

Secondly , just because a company is featured in a magazine does not mean that this should be taken as an endorsement of the company by the magazine as it most certainly is not. Car magazines are in the business of selling paper – they do not vett, validate or otherwise check out claims made by traders.

The actual fact of the matter is that legally the contents of an advert (or website) must be accurate, or the trader can get in trouble under various consumer protection acts. The same protection is not true of a magazine feature – so in some ways they are actually less reliable than an advert!!

Please purchase with care. These are expensive itmes, and failure can be both financially and physically costly.
