Manufacturing, Stock and Delivery Times
Please note that AirRide is a manufacturing workshop, not just a parts warehouse. When it comes to load support kits and replacement air bags, we strive to keep our bestselling products on the shelf ready for same-day or next-day dispatch where possible. Front struts, front lowering kits, and front and rear lowering kits are always made to order. Air management parts, such as controllers, compressors and tanks, are usually in stock or can normally be obtained within a few days.
Fast Dispatch Where Possible
The pace of life has accelerated significantly in recent years, and customer expectations have risen with it. We understand that customers want their parts quickly, and we dispatch orders as fast as we reasonably can. However, we are not Amazon, and we cannot guarantee next-day delivery on every order.
Small items are usually dispatched with Royal Mail on either a 24-hour or 48-hour service. Larger items are normally shipped with UPS, who usually deliver within 1-2 working days. Sometimes we use Parcelforce, and again, we select a fast service where appropriate.
We Do Not Drop Ship
We do not do drop shipping. When you place an order with AirRide, you get the parts from us. We do not outsource storage, packaging and shipping to a third party, and we certainly do not throw together low-quality parts from random sources.
We care about quality, safety and long-term reliability. We only supply parts that we would be prepared to use on our own vehicles.
Made-to-Order Products Take Time
Manufacturing times vary, and we discuss this with our customers before they place an order. Some kits take dozens of hours to make. Others take hundreds. Some kits are so complex that we quote lead times of 16-26 weeks.
Lead times are given in good faith and are not guaranteed. In a manufacturing environment, tasks can and do overrun. This can be difficult to explain because customers usually only see the finished product, not the dozens of individual steps, parts, checks and processes that go into making it.
Why We Do Not Show Everything Behind the Scenes
We have considered creating more behind-the-scenes content for social media to help explain the work and skill that goes into our products. However, a generic video would not show very much, while a detailed one would create two problems.
- Some manufacturing steps are not suitable or safe to film in detail.
- A detailed video would give away too much information about our designs and manufacturing methods.
Built Properly, Not Rushed
To sum this up, our products can take time to make, but they are worth the wait. We build air suspension products that are designed to last and to genuinely solve the problems our customers experience with standard suspension.
We would rather build something properly than rush it out of the door. That approach takes longer, but it is the right way to manufacture specialist suspension parts.
