An air tank is defined as a pressure vessel. It is also sometimes called a receiver, a reservoir an air cylinder or an air store - all mean the same thing. A pressure vessel is a container designed to hold gas or liquid at pressures substantially higher than ambient pressure. The air used in air suspension is a gas. Pressure vessels can be dangerous, can cause injury or death, and so should be treated with respect. ALWAYS fit a pressure relief valve and a pressure gauge so you can check the pressure in the tank is as expected. We stock Steel tanks which are usually rated at 150 psi and Aluminium ones rated at 200 psi. For psi and compressor information please check out our explanatory videos and "air explained" section. Aluminium tanks are more expensive but don't rust, look better, work at a higher pressure and are lighter. Capacities are usually stated in US Gallons because most tanks originate from the US (or made elsewhere for the US market). 1 US Gallon is 3.75 litres, whereas 1 UK Gallon is 4.54 litres. Therefore the US gallon is smaller. We try and use litres for the tanks in our shops to make things easier.
We have a range of aluminium and steel tanks from 1/4 US Gallon (just under a litre) to 6 US Gallon (22.5 litres), ranging from twin port to 8 port, and usual pressures are 150 psi or 200 psi. If your specific requirements are not listed then please contact us.
This page is for the lower specification Steel 150 psi tanks. We have a separate page for high pressure aluminium 200 psi tanks.

These bags are ideal for the rear of most vehicles including cars, vans, motor-homes, minibuses, trailers, and the like. They can also be used on the front of many vehicles that do not use Struts with integral airbags. These bags are also an ideal upgrade for failed bags and the multi-fitment end caps make the job easier in most cases. Vastly superior to most bags available on the market. If in doubt please call.
