We get numerous calls every day from customers wanting air for the back of motor-homes, vans, pick-up trucks and SUV’s which have leaf springs on the rear.
Air can really help on these vehicles, but we cannot have a kit for every vehicle, so we have a universal kit for those applications which are not otherwise covered. This includes:-
- 2 bags
- 4 brackets
- Air line
- Inflation valves
The cost for this kit is £695 with two valves, for the basic kit or £895 for the deluxe kit with shocks, which is ideal for trailers and one variation of which is pictured below in red. Please remember prices are per axle if you are using these on trailers or tag axled motorhomes.
We try to hold these in stock but they go quickly, so please contact us for stock situation. Kits are easy to install on most leaf spring applications, and require the clamp to be undone (plan to replace if it an old vehicle) and the bracket slid under, before the clamp is done up again. Top brackets fit to chassis, and may require slight fabrication as these are slightly less universal. We can help if required but please ask.
For most fitting will take less than a day including plumbing, and some applications will take less than half a day, depending upon vehicle, application and skill/tools available. This job is viable for a local garage to undertake, although if you have a fitter to do this job he/she is welcome to contact us for fitting info before you order.
This is a universal kit and some fabrication is likely to be required. This can be done FOC on a return to us marked/bolted basis. Pictures are for illustration purposes only and are brackets after modification/fabrication/powder coating.
We also offer a smaller bag/button kit with no brackets. If you are able to fabricate your own brackets this includes 2 or our larger heavy duty double convoluted bags and a paddle switch.
Basic Universal Leaf spring Kit
This kit includes basic 3 part brackets, bags and inflation valves.
Deluxe Universal Leaf Spring Kit
This kit is designed for use on trailers although does have other applications. the kit includes shock absorbers and mounts since trailers don’t usually have shocks. It affords a massive difference in ride quality, reducing driver fatigue and also reducing stress for livestock, and protecting delicate loads.
Bag and Button Kit
This kit is designed for use on any vehicle with a leaf spring suspension and rear axle. This does not include brackets and so its really for those who can fabricate their own. Will give good lift, additional stability and be deflated if required to enable support when laden with goods or vehicles in the case of transporters. Includes 2 bags and manual paddle switch.

For the ultimate in versatility the use of an On Board Air (OBA) supply gives the ability to lift and drop the vehicle at the touch of a button (including on the move). All basic kits come with Schrader valves (tyre valves) meaning that you can inflate the system anywhere you can inflate a tyre. This is fine for assistance kits as with big vans and motor-homes using “assistance” kits but for those using airbags as the sole suspension (Vito/T4/T5) and OBA kit allows adjustment for all variations of road, weather and load conditions.
