As with everything in the car world, costs vary greatly depending upon what you want. We only use high specification reliable components.
For the Slower, and more basic kits (15 seconds to lift, Front & Back only) you are looking at a supply cost of around £1600, plus around £1000 to fit. To add FBSS (Front back and side to side) please add around £500 to supply and fit.
For the Faster kits which most customers select you are looking at around £2250 - £2550 for the kit and around £1000-£1500 to fit, depending on specification, vehicle and other factors. Larger valves (1/2 inch ports) would add around £250, but almost doubles airflow through the valve and airline over the standard 3/8 inch ports, and most customers think the extra flow is worth the cost.
The Faster kit has an option of using a computer controller (highly recommended), which gives an LCD display of all four corner pressures (heights), with three pre-set positions. These can be set to anything, but most customers set them to fully down, drive position, and fully up. This costs an additional £597, plus an option for a remote keyfob controller (like your alarm blipper) which works only with the computer, at an additional £115, and gives all round control of the same three pre-sets.
If you want the front of the car really low, then turreting the front towers tends to cost between £500 and £800and can lower the car another 2 inches. This procedure involves cutting the top of the tower out, moving it up and then re-welding it. The amount it can be moved depends on the position of the bonnet, although the inner skin is also often cut to allow a greater drop. Some extra drop can be achieved by converting the upper mount but there are limits. Once those limits are reached turreting is the only solution to increased drop.
A second battery entirely separate from the main car battery exclusively for the purpose of powering the air (and ICE if fitted) systems, is a great reliability bonus if you intend using the system a lot. Costs vary depending upon battery spec, but we tend to fit a split charge relay (£15, plus £30 fitting), and battery at cost. For in-cabin fitment we only use gel sealed batteries - no liquid acid to cover you in an accident and these tend to vary in price between £95 and £250 depending on spec.
A second compressor can be a useful addition to the system and is recommended if you use the system a lot as it can take the pressure off the main compressor, and gives you a back-up in the event of failure. These are a must if you go beyond 3-4 gallons for the tank size, and cost around £200-£300 extra again depending on specification.
Custom shaped tanks can be built on a one-off basis if space is an issue. Prices vary. Polished tanks are also increasingly available now.
Please rest assured that we use absolutely the best available components on the market. Terminals are soldered, airlines sealed, and front struts use articulation bearings, and flexible link hoses. Reliability is Safety, and is the most important factor on air suspension systems.
Most customers tend to go for the Faster acting Manifolded Valves (Pseudo 1/2 valves), FBSS (Front Back Side to Side), with computer and Remote. fully fitted prices would therefore come in at around £4500, or up to £5500 with turreting if needed.
